Frisky Pups B&B and Sled Dog Tours immerses guests into the Alaskan dog mushing experience. We offer exciting and scenic dog sled rides in the heart of dog sledding country on Chena Hot Springs Road near Fairbanks, Alaska.  Tour our kennel and meet our friendly and well trained Alaskan huskies.  Learn about the lifestyle of Alaskan dog mushers. Explore trails that wind through the hilly spruce and birch forest and traverse frozen ponds. Our guests remember their visits as experiences of a lifetime.

Frisky Pups bed and breakfast is a cozy Alaskan guest house located in a secluded forest of birch and spruce trees with a view of Fairbanks. Our comfortable accommodations provide guests with an opportunity to meet the owners and their eager and happy team of Alaskan sled dogs. The adjacent trails are excellent for cross-country skiing and hiking, as well as for enjoying the dog mushing experience.

Meet Your Hosts

Sandy and Bill McKee have been raising sled dogs since 1993. They have both participated in the 1,000 mile Iditarod International Sled Dog Race and a variety of 200 and 300 mile races. They now enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences with visitors.

Dog Mushing Guide

Emily has had sled dogs since she was a young girl in Maine. She and her husband, Richie, have raised a competitive dog team which has placed 2nd and 3rd in two of most prestigious races in the Alaskan Interior. Although her primary focus isn’t racing, she enjoys training the dogs and going on camping trips.

Joanna grew up on a trapline with her family on the Porcupine River in northeastern Alaska. She has had dogs as long as she can remember. She has finished eight middle-distance races (100-300 miles) and has recently finished first in the Two Rivers 100 twice and 3rd and, most recently, 2nd in the Yukon Quest 300.
